Pulse & Calls

Using Pulse Messenger

Adding friends by unique ID, sending messages and files, locking a chat, and removing or blocking someone.

Last updated 2026-06-22

Adding a friend

  1. Open Pulse and go to the directory.
  2. Choose Add friend and enter the other person's unique ID.
  3. Send the request. They must accept before either of you can message.

Your own unique ID is shown in the directory — share it rather than your email address.

Messages and attachments

Conversations are private to the two participants and access is enforced on the server. You can share images and files; attachments count against your plan's storage allowance and can be deleted at any time from the conversation.

Locking a chat

A conversation can be locked with a PIN so it cannot be opened without re-entering it. This is useful on shared devices. If you forget the PIN you can reset it from your account settings.

Removing or blocking

  • Removing a friend clears the shared conversation for both people and requires a new request to reconnect.
  • Blocking prevents any further contact or requests from that account.
  • Report harassment or unsafe behaviour — reports are reviewed against our community guidelines.
